English Language Learner Pilot Program

The California Department of Education (CDE) has cancelled the AB 2117 English Language Learner Acquisition and Development Pilot Program’s (ELLPP) evaluation study contract due to a lack of funding. The CDE’s cancellation of the ELLPP evaluation study contract with the selected contractor does not affect local educational agency (LEA) grants for the program. The LEA granted period for the three-year ELLPP and its associated evaluation study shall end June 30, 2010.

Public Works, Inc., has been notified of the contract’s cancellation due to a lack of funding. LEAs participating in the grant are no longer required to provide data to the selected contractor on their granted English Learner promising practices for the purpose of the evaluation study.
